Trauma-informed nervous system work for conferences, events & media

I have spent over 20 years working at the intersection of nervous system regulation, inherited stress patterns and nutritional genomics – bringing that depth to stages, studios and screens in a way that’s grounded, practical and immediately useful for any audience.

What I Bring To Your Event

Keynotes, workshops & immersive sessions

I teach complex physiology and inherited stress patterns in a way that makes sense to people who’ve never heard those words before. Tension and trauma release, Brainspotting, nutrigenomics – these aren’t niche concepts when you explain where they live in the body and why they matter. Audiences leave knowing something about themselves they didn’t know when they walked in.

I’ve spoken at national wellbeing and trauma conferences, delivered keynotes to parent communities in private schools, and have a number of festivals and wellbeing expos confirmed for this year. My work also appears in practitioner training spaces and expert panels focused on stress, trauma and emotional regulation. Talks run 30 to 60 minutes. Workshops are usually 90 minutes – I read the room as I go, moving between teaching, somatic practice and space for integration. No two workshops run identically because no two rooms are the same.

I’m comfortable with large rooms, sceptical audiences and sensitive topics. Bookers tend to find the combination of rigour and accessibility useful, and people leave with something they can use long after the event ended.

Watch Me Speak

Keynotes & workshops across a range of themes

The videos below give you a feel for the topics I cover and how I work with a room. They’re a sample – my speaking range runs considerably wider, touching everything from women’s hormonal health and grief to performance, body image and the kind of low-level suffering people carry for years without knowing where it came from. What runs through all of it is the same thread: that most of what people are struggling with has roots that go back further than they realise, and that understanding those roots changes how people relate to themselves and each other.

If you’re planning an event and wondering whether your theme fits, it probably does. Get in touch and we can talk it through.

For Podcasters, Journalists & Producers

Interviews, commentary & contributor pieces

I’m a comfortable and prepared guest – I keep conversations focused without losing the human thread. Nervous system regulation, inherited stress patterns, nutrigenomics, women’s hormonal health, trauma and ancestral patterns – these are subjects I can talk about at any depth, from a broad introductory conversation to something much richer.

Topics I Cover

  • Trauma, ancestral patterns and intergenerational stress
  • Stress, anxiety and nervous system regulation
  • Women’s hormonal health and perimenopause
  • Nutrigenomics and how genes influence mood, energy and stress
  • Grief, loss and emotional exhaustion
  • Performance, perfectionism and inherited blocks

What Producers Find

  • Sensitive topics handled with care and without sensationalism
  • Complex subjects made accessible without losing depth
  • Conversations that stay focused and don’t need much steering
  • An ability to reset the tone when things get heavy

The Impact Of This Work

Across one-to-one sessions, corporate workshops and keynote experiences, people notice genuine transformation - better sleep, clearer thinking, stronger resilience and sustainable change. The Happy Reset® method works because it addresses your whole system, not just symptoms. The feedback I receive from happy clients, reflects what happens when people finally feel supported in a way that makes sense for their unique bodies, mind and wiring.

Real People. Real Stories. Real Change

I’ve been lucky enough to do an individual with Jo as well as a group. I wasn’t sure if I’d get into it but very quickly I was shaking. Jo really puts you at ease and talks you through it. It’s sooo relaxing and I slept as a baby afterwards. I think the group sessions add a different dimension as you’re sharing with others (even though I didn’t know them before). I’d highly recommend Jo in trauma release, especially if you’re new to it. She’s so calming. Thankyou Jo.

Thank you for sharing these valuable techniques. I felt thoroughly supported throughout the process. I learnt a great deal and feel well equipped to use the practice. I look forward to future sessions.

What an amazing experience! Thanks to Jo for her knowledge and outstanding teaching techniques both myself and my husband have trained our bodies to eliminate unwanted stress and tension through trauma release exercise. We will continue to follow this new ritual as we have really noticed the benefits after each session 😴😀

Jo introduced me to trauma release therapy and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wasn’t even sure where the trauma was in my history or even for sure that I had enough for it to work, but Jo explained this is perfectly normal and that it goes back far further in your ancestry. I had my first session and really enjoyed how I felt. It gave me a peaceful feeling, I felt truly relaxed. I slept well and I had a real feeling of wellbeing. Jo talks you through it all step by step with great patience and knowledge. I will be continuing with my sessions with Jo because I’m loving how it makes me feel.

This practice is incredible and Jo holds the space for it to feel so safe and really let go of the body so it can do its thing. I love how it is not a talking therapy. The body has stored so much ‘stuff’ and this process which is deceivingly simple and actually very pleasant and relaxing allows the release. I found directly after taking part I felt relaxed and peaceful and slept so well, and then a couple of days after I had big emotional releases. But then I felt great again! Jo made me feel so safe and at ease, she has such a beautiful energy and is very knowledgeable about the body and this practice and I felt very confident in her ability to guide the process. I will continue under Jo’s guidance and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I had a session with Jo and was feeling a bit anxious and self-conscious about it. However, she quickly made me feel calm and at ease. During the session I was blown away how much trauma I had stored up and left the session feeling incredibly calm .. a feeling I definitely struggle with. I would highly recommend this to anyone and personally cannot wait to have another session!!

Having looked in to methods of stress release, TRE really appealed to me. I came to Jo as I knew from previous years just how much she cared about health and well/being and I was not disappointed. Even after three sessions, I feel like a weight has been lifted and I feel like my old happy self again after more than three years of extreme emotional stress and trauma which lead to anxiety. Since starting with Jo, I have found myself laughing more than ever before, which is enough proof that with the right method, you can rebuild yourself after a tough time, and define you as the real you again.

Jo is such a kind, calm and understanding person. I really struggle with anxiety which is exacerbated by years of trauma. My TRE sessions with Jo have been incredibly helpful with helping me release the stress and tension, as well as all the emotions I tend to hold on to. It’s very easy talking to Jo and I felt I was able to be vulnerable with her without being self-conscious, especially with how vulnerable you feel when you shake. I also do nutritional health sessions with Jo. These sessions have helped me build a better relationship with food and has also helped me feel more confident, and strong in my body. Thank you, Jo for all you’ve helped me with!
